Image Creation

Sometimes a bespoke image needs to be created because the right image is not available for purchase.

Take for instance the header image for Lobster Ventures (above). This image was created from scratch.

The fish and starfish were taken from underwater photographs, the sea bed was created by modifying a picture of a beach.

The underwater scene was created with gradients, textures and filters, the bubbles with layer styles.

The lobster was sketched traditionally and scanned, then coloured and rendered digitally. The rock was created by applying textures and the sign was drawn and then warped digitally.

Then the entire image was enhanced with light and shadow effects and the seaweed was painted in. (I think that about covers it).

There is a bit more to it than that but it should give you an idea of what can be done.

Image Creation Has Commercial Applications

Too many to list here but the potential is obvious.

Products, businesses and concepts need to be shown in their best light and this can be achieved without expensive studios, photographers and the purchasing of props.

Digital image manipulation allows the removal, addition and combination of images. This means that you can portray your product, business or concept perfectly, professionally and with the minimum expense.
