Imaging services cover a very wide scope of activities from photo retouching to bespoke image creation. If you need an image to say a "thousand words" then you obviously need the right one.

The right images are notoriously hard find. You can spend hours searching the web and still not find the right one. Quality

The quality of an image does not just refer to the style or design but also the resolution and size. If the image is solely for use on screen then the resolution or DPI should be low and the image file size small. If you intend to print the image then the resolution needs to be high.

Photo manipulation can be used for good or evil. Most people use it for good. For example, products for sale on eBay need to be photographed and unless you are a professional photographer with a studio, I would suggest that the photo will need trimming, enhancing, touching up, background removed etc. etc. this is photo manipulation.

Another example is the picture of Granny with the grandchildren at her 60th birthday party. It turned out too dark, all the kids have red eyes and there is a total stranger stood behind them waving at the camera!

In most cases images can be lightened, colours enhanced, objects/people removed and even figures airbrushed without being able to tell that the image has been altered.
